She also likes to eat meat occasionally - but likes to consume vegetables most of the time. By no means is she a vegetarian…she’s a flexitarian. I guess it’s that difficult to find a real vegetarian or vegan in Korea, IF that’s all you can come up with

just a heads up! if you’re vegetarian or vegan, kimchi typically has fish in it!! it’s often made with fish sauce or shrimp paste or something similar.

I was a vegetarian in korea. I only ate konguksu. I became so pale and had to energy. This was almost 15 years ago so not many options. Even vegetarian soups had meat broth.

I would also recommend 오세계향 in 인사동, 서울. Great place for vegan food as well as for people who have a food allergy against onions or garlic as they state under each entry in the menu if it contains it or not. Great Korean cuisine as well as 100% vegan.

I don't even know why eating vegetarian in Korea is difficult 😂 95% of authentic, traditional Korean food that people have on daily basis is Vegan. Only popularised korean food is meat

If you don't speak korean, it sucks. Personal experience. I cooked for myself alot from 7-11. Cafe Siva in Yongsan-gu, seoul is amazing!!
