Shallow well Pump lost prime - bad foot valve

I replaced my expensive well pump with a much less expensive submersible pump 8 years ago and never looked back.

Soo with a shallow well and shallow well pump. All you need is the foot valve. At the bottoms of the well and no check valve at the outlet of the pump??

That looks awfully deep for a shallow well jet pump

what was he supposed to do if he couldn't pull the pump. or what's he to do if sand prevents the foot valve from sealing?

a check valve before the pump probably would have helped but it's a shallow well pull it and change it

Why is check valve not good in that location

Put the check valve on the suction before your pump your done my friend

I’m confused why do pressure tank tees come with a check valve off the pump. I thought that was good not to let the water flow back down the well.

Why would you risk damage and not unthread those sections?
