How to fix Update pending on your Android TV?

If you happen to see Update pending on some of your apps in the Home menu, this video explains how to correct it. Demonstrated on TCL 55EP680 UHD TV running Android TV 9 (Pie).

I am getting Install Pending on a new app I want to install. No matter how many times I cancel the installation and click install again. It just sticks at install pending. I have no other updates or installs in the queue. This is Mi TV 4A pro with Android 9.

Thx... this has been annoying me since days. Do you also experience some other glitches with the YT app? Like, when pausing a video, and then resuming it, the sound starts playing, but the picture stays still for 1-2 seconds and eventually fast-forwards to catch up with the sound.
