You said you used a medium fast rod with 20 lb braid. But the medium rod says a !ax weight of 12 lb. Won't that cause a risk of breaking the rod with a heavy fish? I'm asking since. I'm going back to fishing after several years away from it. How much can the line weight exceed the weight range on the rod?

Anybody know what that big blue padding is called? It’s on his baitcaster rod. I would love to get one. I tend to hook set and wedge the butt end into my armpit area and if the bite is on fire I tend to be really sore at the end of the day!

Broke my reel after 1 year and broke the rod after 3 years. Bass Pro told me too bad. Broke the rod casting a top water. Piece of junk.
