Excel VBA Basics #22 SumIfs Using VBA

Using an advanced function in VBA Editor. Eg: Sum the total sales for Region: South, Between 1/1/1999 and 12/31/2005. We can trap this in a variable and manipulate it further or just slap in in a cell. The point is, the user can't really mess up a function by typing over it or deleting the cell contents, because with VBA it will just find the answer again, even if deleted or overwritten! Thank you for this video.  It was the most well-explained use of SUMIFS for VBA.   Other posts/forums I've read try to avoid using SUMIFS and create extra code to do the same thing.

thanks for this video. If we don't want to name so many tables, we can use the following to reference the certain columns in the "master" table:
[pt_Table].Columns(x) 'x is the number of the column in the table

An important lesson! Unfortunately, refers to unspecified other videos while 'blazing through' some parts of technique. Workbook is erroneously labeled "ExcelVBAIsFun 10" in dropbox, and module is not clearly identified (look for Module 7). Workbook also includes a button not mentioned during the lesson. These organizational details can be distracting, and generally aren't found in the vast ExcelIsFun collection. All the same, a great resource, and well worth the time.
