Показать описание
Richard Hutten graduated from the Academy for Industrial Design Eindhoven (now the Design Academy Eindhoven) in 1991 and started his own studio that year. He gained fame early on for such projects as 'The Cross' (1994) and his involvement with Droog Design since its inception in 1993. He is perhaps most well known for his 'No sign of design' furniture concepts in which he creates highly functional pieces in a humorous style (such as his 'Table upon table' concept). He prefers to work with a small studio so as to remain a part of the process and design of every project, remaining a designer instead of a manager of designers. Hutten is now the Creative Director for NgispeN, a division of Gispen focusing on the home furniture market.
