#keybored Probably The Best SPLIT Keyboard For The Money - QK DUO

Split keyboards have been out for some time... but they're not perfect. Either they're super expensive, awkward to use or really messy on your desk... the cables are atrocious. However, when QK comes in with their own, is it worth taking a look? Let's find out!

Was genuinely waiting for your possible review to drop when I heard about this board for the first time 😭 this is perfect

Honestly this board looks great and I’d get one if I could afford it right now. Wireless is definitely the way to go for split boards because it lets you actually have the freedom that the split provides. You can have each half anywhere on your desk without worrying about cable management.

It would also be great for gaming because you could set the right half to the side or even off your desk completely and have more mouse space while the left half has all the keys you need.

Great video as always Scott!
Really appreciate that you compared to split keyboards on the current market.
Sounds very good with HMX Latte switches.
Overall great price to value as expected from qwertykeys.

I like the name change, makes it easier to search for your channel and content.

Great video as always! This looks like a great split board to start out with. I actually switched to a split ergo board recently (Iris by Keebio) and think it's a great starting point for both the columnar layout and split, before getting into the crazier boards like a Dactyl or even the Svalboard. It would be great to hear your opinion on the Iris or similar ergo boards (Lily58, Sofle, etc)

This keyboard is fucking perfect; its modular design, the split, and price are perfect.
8K polling rate is a massive plus. I am definitely getting one!

Like the name change, easier to search while still keeping the brand name. Also Alex mentioned, love that guy.

Not sure with split but this and your review makes the sound and look appealing

I would also recommend checking the ZSA Voyager. I do really like this one honestly, but that one is fairly clean as well.

awesome to see a nice sounding split that will actually be stocked

Loving the name change, keeping the brand while keeping it unique.

Seeing this release just as ai03's Altair started finalizing on shipping out, the split market options are just getting better and better. Did you plan on reviewing the Altair or even get your hands on one as well by chance? I know it kind of diminishes on the flexibility that the Duo has with wireless.

Nice vid mate . Wish they would make a horizontal stagger just so split spacebar users could have the extra bottom left mod instead of the alice split, since splitting already gives you almost all of the purported advantages of Alice

this is definitely a solid pick! that said, there’s also a true wireless split keyboard called the NocFree Lite for just $179.

Nah - row stagger ForTheLoss. As a split ergo user, ortho or columnar is essential for a split

I daily drive a Kinesis and the lack of ortho/column stagger would be a complete non starter for me. I would recommend checking out the splitkb halycon kyria or elora. Keywell is also a huge advantage but not a lot of non diy keywell boards out there besides the kinesis

I'm tempted by the extreme beauty of this kit, despite the Nocfree sitting there being around $200 and also wireless. The real kicker for me personally is actually the layout. I've used one Alice board before and had to abandon ship, because I have a small hand plus an unshakable habit of using (Cntrl + some other key) short cuts with my left hand while using the mouse with my right hand. The particular angles in the Alice layout made this really fatiguing to do, eventually creating pain in the hand. I get that this is a niche issue, but it's sadly an actual deal breaker for me.

Probably the last keyboard I will build for myself, I've been waiting for a more decent option vs the Dygma
