Improved performance albeit in a pointless competition. Tutu looks to be a very talented player, just need to keep him fit.Matete improving and had a great game. How did McAtee miss an open goal, I'm nearly 70 and I could have put that chance away😂.
Let's hope the performance on Saturday is great and that Evatt learns what his best team is and stòps tinkering.

This competition is a waste of resource. Bin it. Empty grounds everywhere. I've seen more for a Bolton and United reserve match.

This might make me unpopular but I remain convinced that Ian Evatt is NOT the right person for the manager's job. I don't see us getting promoted with him in charge after the last two seasons of choking when it mattered. Also during this season we haven't shown anything like the consistency needed to be promotion contenders. I know it's still fairly early in the season but I really don't believe in Evatt any more and frankly am a little puzzled as to why some of our fans do.

With that said and of course acknowledging this was a pretty pointless cup game the performance against HTFC was very good, in parts excellent and if he finds a way to translate that consistently into the League I will be happy to eat humble pie and apologise to Ian Evatt. I just don't believe I will need to though.
