How to switch energy supplier

If you haven’t switched energy provider in a year or so – or if you’ve never switched at all – you could be paying over the odds for your gas and electricity.

You don’t have to stick with your outdated tariff though, run a comparison with UK Power to switch to a better deal and save money. And the best bit is, you be done in the time it takes to make a cuppa…

It’s best to have a recent bill to hand if you can, but we can still give you an estimated price even if you haven’t.

When you find the deal you like, you can start the switch, which should then be completed in just 17 days.

There’s no need for any digging or drilling inside or outside your property – there’s no difference in how the gas and electricity gets in, just a change in the company supplying it - and this new supplier will handle all the paperwork.

Once you’ve agreed to switch, the only thing you’ll need to do is provide meter readings and settle up anything you owe to your old supplier.

We switched to Bulb, they are a disaster, unable to sort out the simplest of problems. I wish we had never changed from the old supplier. Don't make the same mistake that we did.
