I had a lot of fun today.
It was great, this is my first time doing this, so we’re definitely going to be back.

We brought students here today to have them do a tour of the base.
We brought kids that are interested in joining the military, and some kids that are on the fence about it still.

Ben Frazier Dow
Senior, OnAlaska High School
I thought the tour was very informative and gave us a lot of information on the college aspect of the Army, what you can do, all the options it opens up.

Freshman, South Puget Sound Community College
So the barracks, also, it’s better than the dorms.
Because the dorms I’ve visited in the universities it’s all, like, bunkbeds — and that’s what I expected, so it changed my perspective.

I would have to say the simulators were the coolest part today.

I think the kids were so excited to do the gun simulator.
And then getting to be in the truck simulators, too — I think that was really neat.

We were just talking about that we want to bring more kids up to get to experience this, because if they don’t know what they want to do, or if they’re like I do want to go to college, but how am I going to pay for it — I think this is a great way for them to see their options so they know there’s lots of avenues to get where they want to go.
