They want you to reroll... they can use that info to show how many unique (email) registered players there are! It's marketing trick. That is the number one reason why your first hero is random .

I see what you mean but here's my take. It's not the player's responsibility to worry about the game's infrastructure. If it lags by simply logging into the game then that's on devs for not scaling properly to the massive influx of people on release.
