This is the all-new Lexus LX!

The new LX has been a long time coming... The third generation was released 14 years ago, after all! So the question is, was it worth the wait?

Well for starters, the grille is absolutely MASSIVE, so you won’t be mistaking it for any other car in a hurry. As for the rest of the car, well it’s all pretty similar to the recently announced Toyota Land Cruiser. But then that’s no surprise, given they’re basically the same car under the skin!

Elsewhere, one of the biggest changes you’ll find is under the bonnet, where the gas-guzzling V8 has been removed! But don’t worry, it’s not bad news - it’s been swapped for a more efficient (and powerful) 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6. In total, it puts out 415hp & 650Nm of torque.

As for the interior, it’s had a massive overhaul, and you can even choose the ‘Ultra Luxury’ trim for an interior that can compete with the likes of the Cullinan & Maybach GLS!

I knew someone who had a Lexus LX, they used to live in the countryside in Australia. The city was far away so they never bothered to service their Lexus for 3.5 years and they only did it once they came to the city for something. The showroom service staff were blown away the car was running with 0 issues.

" most people wont be doing offroading in their new lexus anyways" well depends, about 40-60% of the users who buy it in the middle east will ... which happens to be their main market by a long shot... so yeah a decent number will take this offroad.

I had a merc GLS500 and traded in for a LX570s and I have to say, the Lexus is street's ahead of the merc when it comes to ride comfort and build quality.

The front end is basically all grille with headlights, the sporty model shown towards the end of this video has much better front design.

I guess the grill isn't initially nice, but certainly effective. It grew on me pretty quickly, especially when shown against the Land Cruiser. If you want the practicality (in form and function), go for the Land Cruiser.

Although it'd probably be better to wait for their new i-Force hybrid system that we're seeing in the Tundra soon.

Simply superb, the LX600 should have also had a 48v mild hybrid system to boost FE & a APU to power this mammoth in parking speeds.

Lexus is easily the best luxury brand when it comes to reliability. They may look old fashion compared to competitors but you can bet they will outlast them and they hold their value. They are extremely well built.
