I’m finally beginning to understand scale patterns and how they can be used in any key on the root note
Thanks octopus!

Arguably the best tutor for me at least. May sound patronising(pun unintended) but I resonate strongly with your approach. Not bragging : seasoned educator 40 odd years and I know being presumptuous when tutoring is a tragic flaw. I have all that you teach under the belt for a decade or so but you kind of bring so much understanding. Pet Peeve: tutors who from their high horse, almost condescendingly say : it's not theory, just play by ear. Into soloing recently and a few tutors just naturally irritate me. Love your credo: knowledge is power but we have to learn to make music with it. Once again, profoundly grateful and considering subscribing.

Team Jellyfish... Lots to unpack in this one. Not sure why, but I think I'll have to watch this one a couple of times to "get" it.

Can you maybe do a lesson on what major scales are the most beneficial to learn first? Like maybe A and C and the fretboard positions in a downloadable form like your triad lessons.

Love your lessons and all the work you put into this. Thank you so much!

Another great lesson. I did get lost when you went to the G#minor pentatonic though. Edited….I figured it out.

Good stuff. I'm really gonna be interested in the triad series your building. If you could give us a few good exercises to really get em cemented onto the fretboard, it would be a winner, in my opinion

Hey we still need the triads on the rest of the string sets! Lol 😂😂😂
