Optimism (Lemonade out of lemons): turn a portion of those wealthy neighborhoods into fire-resistant high-density affordable housing with community sprinkler systems and water tanks. Turn this into a positive by helping a bigger problem than your ability to have a mansion on the beach. Nobody that close to the water in CA should have properties that large. It violates the spirit of § 4 of Article X of the California Constitution. Many lower middle class people work in the beach communities and shouldn't have to drive their crappy car to work just to take up more street parking near the beach. California's new law regarding affordable housing should go into effect for this, a percentage of the communities rebuilt should include more dense, affordable housing that is fire resistant.

the state of our country is a result of uneducated people making bad choices... it goes back to regional school board members deciding what can be taught in school, going back 20-30 years ago. now here we are uneducated and wondering how we manage to get to this terrible place.
