Scottish myths: White dogs jobbies

Brilliant. Urban legend in Livingston in the 70’s was that if the Punks caught you they would make you eat a white Jobby

I grew up in the 70's and dogs white jobbies were everywhere, this was actually caused by an additive that they put in dog food to make the jobbies look more aesthetically pleasing, but a shite is a shite is a shite. I did stand on them a good few times and it wasn't pleasant.

I always thought it was because the jobbie had been in the sun for too long is what caused it to go white.
