7-Year-Old Girl Sells Lemonade to Pay for Mom’s Tombstone

Emouree Johnson, 7, lost her mom, Karli, last month. It was a devastating event and the family didn’t have money to buy a tombstone. So Emouree decided to sell lemonade to help pay for one. While her product is surely refreshing and delicious, her community in Alabama is more interested in the cause behind her business. People from all over came to her town of Scottsboro to buy lemonade and offer other support. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

I lost my dad to cancer a few years ago and was surprised that the total funeral costs ended up being over $20, 000. He had life insurance which paid for it all but it made me wonder about young families, when they lose a loved one, the instant financial hit of trying to give them a respectful goodbye must be just as stressful as the emotional pain of losing them. EVERYONE needs life insurance.
