Join us in this time-lapse of a fresh lemon slice rotting, sprouting, and growing into a young tree. The slice was cut from a store-bought lemon. It was then buried under soil. After 40 days, many seedlings appeared and grew into young trees. We transplanted one into a pot and it continued to grow for 3 months. Our lemon tree was growing fast. After 5 months, The plant reach 2ft tall with many branches and leaves, and the growing rate sped up increasingly.
