About Steven Universe Season 1:
Believe in Steven! Steven Universe is a half-human, half-Gem hero who's learning to save the world with the magical powers that come from his bellybutton. Steven may not be as powerful as the Crystal Gems. Or as smart. But that doesn't stop him from joining Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl on their magical adventures - where Steven always finds a surprising way to save the day.

Steven Universe is set in Beach City on the American East Coast, where the four Crystal Gems live in an ancient beachside temple, protecting the world from evil. As immortal alien warriors, they project female humanoid forms from magical gems that are the core of their being. The Crystal Gems are Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, and Steven, a young half-human, half-Gem boy who inherited the gem of his mother Rose Quartz, the former leader of the Crystal Gems. As Steven tries to figure out his powers, he spends his days with his human father Greg, his friend Connie or the other Gems, whether to help them save the world or just to hang out. He explores the abilities passed down to him by his mother, which include fusion - the ability of two Gems to temporarily merge their identities and bodies to form a distinct new personality.

Fun fact: Take Opal’s theme. Play it an octave or two lower. Distort the melody. Add more distorted instruments. Give the song a minor feel. Boom. You get this
0:47 This is when Pearl tells Amethyst that she can’t beat her. That melody with the piano gives me chills everytime. You can tell by listening that Pearl is talking here because of the piano obviously. But that eerie, short melody makes Pearl out to be the villain in this scenario. Almost talking condescendingly to amethyst. By far one of the most emotional episodes.
