Which character designs are better? Injustice 1 or Injustice 2?

Man I've put HUNDREDS of hours into the first Injustice mobile game lmao. The game has a lot of depth when you play to the point where you can get gold cards and higher ranked gears. It's a lot of fun building up different teams with passives that complement each other.

Correction: In the Injustice 2 Mobile, the armor gear does change the look of the characters but you need all of the 5 pieces equipped on the character for that

One of the strangest decisions in Injustice 2 was making Darkseid a DLC character. You would expect him to be the final boss in a future Injustice game but he got relegated to DLC character. What does it say about the future of these games that they never saw a character like Darkseid of all people as a final boss.

Also, the voice cast. PERFECTION. I mean, they got most of the same guys that voiced these characters in the Justice League animated series. So, the characters felt very authentic IMO. They didn't get Clancy Brown & Maria Canals-Barrera for Lex Luthor & Hawkgirl in the first game tho. Which is super jarring.

in my opinion, the comics are the best way to experience the story of injustice. that being said, these games are very fun

I’d give the first mobile tie in another try. Looks like you only managed to get bronze characters. It’s actually extremely easy to get characters without spending money and has online tourneys, but the main way to play it is more of an RPG through team building and actually has a larger community than the second game and is overall seen as a better game.

I especially love the customization in Injustice 2. Like holy crap the amount of freedom you have to make your character look how you want is insane and i appreciate it so much.

I really like the gear in Injustice 2. The system itself is definitely too grindy, but I love the level of customization. Story is great in both games. I absolutely loathe the clash mechanic.

I think Injustice 3's gear might work similarly to MK11, where there's a selection of base skins that you can then customize with certain accessories.

I used to play Injustice Mobile loads. Haven't played it for ages but I remember the card packs being a bit grindy, but there were the occassional double credit event, and alot of the better characters weren't too much trouble f2p (as with a lot of games it's quicker to just pay). Plus the character challenges, survivor mode and the gear system were a neat touches (esp since you could the amount of tickets you got, and reset the mode without waiting). Plus it also had an online system similar to 2 where you fight other players' teams instead of actually playing against someone. Also with Injustice 2, you can press the heavy attack button when using a super/being attacked by a super on each hit to increase/decrease the damage of the hit, like you can in MK11.

The online AI is the same concept in both mobile games, they make a team but you fight the AI controlling them

The first injustice mobile game gets better. The core gameplay is kinda repetitive but grinding to promote characters or unlocking and upgrading gear is fun. It even has an online mode with week long seasons and a leaderboard. Each week has a different reward, either a character or legendary gear. Being able to build and gear different teams and making them synergize is so much fun. Theres even a survival mode with exclusive rewards, phantom zone that gives you currency to upgrade certain characters, and a breakthrough mode that unlocks more promotions for a character. Theres many more characters that can be unlocked from placing high in an online season or others that can be unlocked through the weekly challenge mode (its not just the ones in the store). Those characters have way more complex passives compared to the ones in the store.

Injustice 2 is probably my favorite fighting game. It's one of the few fighting games where I really enjoyed the story mode.

Yeah, the Injustice animated movie was a thing. Infact, watching that from start to finish actually reminds me of how MK Legends: Battle of the Realms which also came out in 2021, tends to share similar issues; from disrespecting certain characters, shitty pacing and a plot that gets too inconsistent and bloated over time.

My guess regarding the 30 fps switch in Injustice 2, it probably has something to do with performance on consoles. Most likely to make it look as good as possible when zooming in with more details than possible on PS4 and Xbox One.
