Performing Art by Sahil Naik at the opening of show, “I am…” at Carpe Diem Art Gallery.

Title: Caution

“Everyone must proceed with prudence in life. Before beginning any procedure, each person must consider the environment. Based on this, I, Sahil Naik, attempted to tie this concept to the light of the train, where both humans and animals must exercise caution when crossing the railroad tracks. A red light, which signals stop, is present after the yellow light. As I wait, a gloomy thought about the future village enters my head. The idea is that the entire hamlet will be encircled by black coal, giving the impression that there is no hope”.

Sahil Naik has done his Masters in painting from Goa College of Art. He aims to show the consequences of urbanisation and contamination of his environment with the railway double tracking running through his village.
