My mare Star was a nightmare to catch when we had her on loan. She would just run away every time we got close to her. So we used treats to catch her but only like 1-2. Then once we actually owned her she didn’t mind coming in. I think she was more used to me so she just didn’t mind coming in. So now she’s an angel coming in and I don’t need treats anymore!! Just a mare thing!! But they have so much character!!😂

It's good to listen to your horse because sometimes even they have bad days and wouldn't want to do anything on that day. (If they don't behave like this most of the time) some people would lure their horse in with treats to make it easier for them (if that works for them)
