I think "the panicked elephants trampled their own men" would be better represented by having them convert to a separate side attacking orange (and maybe green), or just attacking anything in this direction, instead of converting them to the player's army.

If it's too easy, just ignoring the secondary objectives (i.e. not destroying the blue and cyan villages) possibly would give green a better chance.

Hmm seems the Tamerlane campaigns are really way too easy for Viper, I was hoping that they would spam Imperial Camels (which would be a counter to most Tartar units) and make it a big fight but they didn't :/ Viper do you miss the unit spam in the old forgotten campaigns? xD

speaking of the steppe lancer nerf i was thoroughly disappointed by it, the issue wasn't the strength of the unit but how easy it was to mass. they could have just tripled the gold cost, halved the food cost and then it's balanced just like that without completely removing the uniqueness of it like they did. Persian unique units are also super strong but you also pay heavily for it, there is nothing wrong with units being strong in the game if they just have a cost that matches it but now the steppe lancer is absolutely worthless and the only reason you would play tatars or cumans is to troll
