Simply gorgeous...no one sings it better nor has the voice quality to interpret Mahler as Maureen could...her voice was meant to deliver Mahler's messages. I knew her and she inspired my own singing career.

Das ist absolut geniale Interpretation!! Die Sängerin ist genial, und ihre Stimme klingt genial harmonisch mit der genialen Musik! Dirigent ist auch unglaublich! So perfekt hört Harmonie und Polyphonie.

Je ne peux guère comparer après la prestation de Kathleen en 1952, un " ich bin der welt abhanden gekommen" cependant il y a ici beaucoup de cette âme nécessaire afin de pouvoir achever un tel chant. Quelques ajustements traînent à venir ou s' attardent, mais l' esprit est bien là. Néanmoins la voix trop feutrée se voile à elle même, estompée, mais peu à peu laisse les mots exprimer au fils de la partition, il éclosent finalement bien mieux qu' ils ne débutent, et l' orchestration est excellente ; donc Maureen Forester est d' un esprit et d' un coeur adéquat, sensible et légitime, pour tout dire honnête. Un être rare à pouvoir contenir ce chant en elle, ainsi que le faisait cependant bien plus ouvertement, allègrement notre bien aimée Kathleen Ferrier six ans auparavant.
