Mike, there is a shortage of baby formula in the US. This is why people asked about this. What you showed is baby food. Formula is the stuff you mix with water and put in bottles. You are very nice to try to show viewers requests. I enjoy seeing the differences in Germany. Have a great rest of your day!

Was just at an American Aldi's so it's great to see the differences. The Choucer and Knopper chocolate are sold here too. But the beer and wine selection look much nicer there. I'm loving these German videos and hope you can stay in Germany longer and spend time with mom.

I don't think anyone has enjoyed these videos from "German In Venice"(Germany) more than I have! Thank you for sharing your beautiful Germany with all of us 🌏🌎🌍! Your Mom is so precious! Her beautiful smile is infectious and makes my day! I wish more people had the joy your Mom has! 💘🙏🤩

I didn't know Aldi's was German! That explains the efficiency and organization. Another reason why Germany and Germans are awesome.

I love how many things in Germany are named after city of origin. Paderborn Bread. That would be like saying "gimme some Chicago Bread!". City or regional pride is interesting. In the US we only do that with BBQ and pizza!

Would be great if you made a trip back to Germany at Christmas and showed everyone how awesome Christmas is in Germany. We went to the Berlin markets this past year (most all other closed due to Covid) and it was amazing.

I've been waiting for this one. I go to the Aldi all the time so I've been curious to see how different they are in Germany

I love how much you love California as a German. I think it’s really sweet how you include your mom in your videos. I’m glad our countries are allies. Y’all are good folks.

For all who where asking about baby formula... Aldi don't sell much baby stuff anymore, because it didn't sell well. Few weeks ago they skipped it and donated formula and diapers to Ukraine.
Supermarkets (like Edeka), drugstores and pharmacies usually sell formula. At Müller they have a whole shelf for it. And it usually costs beetwen 5 to 11 € per package (it usually contains about 500g). For special formula you will have to go to the pharmacy.

Those beer prices. Wow they are cheap. I live in PA USA if I had beer prices like that I would probably never be sober. Take care. 🍻 Prost!

People were serious about wanting to see the baby formula. There is a major shortage in the states right now! You showed baby food. Baby formula is the powder that is mix with warm water, and put in a bottle, for new borns and infants that don't breastfeed.
We miss you back home, but love the videos from Germany! WE ❤️ GIV 🤙

When the folks asked about baby formula, they meant the milk substitute, not the baby food. Very good video, too bad we do not have similar prices here in the states.

Love Aldi and Lidl here in UK. Go to the European Market type places too - good food and a lot cheaper than the big stores

The Aldi stores in America are Aldi Sud. Trader Joes is Aldi Nord. Aldi Sudi and Aldi Nord are different companies, one owned by one brother the other by the other brother. Thank you for the interesting look at the Aldi stores, its interesting to compare to the US stores.

Gosh, your homeland videos make me feel nostalgic! In 1972, I worked in Frankfurt and lived in Bad Nauheim. I loved it and didn't want to come back, but my job ended after a year, so here I am. Thank you, your mother, and friends for such delightful videos.

The brothers names were Albrecht, not Albert. They are both now deceased. The reason why there are two Aldis is because they a dispute about selling tobacco products. They're actually two separate companies now. Aldi in the US is owned by Aldi Süd and Trader Joe's by Aldi Nord.

Thank you GiV! We are finding your broadcasts of everyday things in Germany very interesting. One thing we’ve learned is that the food looks SO MUCH BETTER and CHEAPER in Germany than here in US. Why is food so much more expensive in USA, and we are stuck with terrible Wonder Bread-type crap bread in supermarkets too. All the bread in Germany looks like the kind we pay a lot $$$ for in a little bakery. Also the beer there… so cheap!! And the scenery looks so green and pretty. Why the heck would you want to come back to USA? Maybe you can split your time and live half there and half here?

At 5:30 a bread slicer....great idea. But in the US it wouldn't be kept clean.
