Hello to you and welcome to Back Alley Gamers in Yesterday's Games Today, hosted by me, Alex Herndon.
Today's news is going to be even quicker than usual, as I've got a busy weekend ahead, so let's jump right in!
Starfield is Bethesda's biggest launch of all time! Surpassing 6 million players, with over a concurrent player count of 1 million on its official launch date, September 6th. It's definitely got a great start, but only time will tell how it's life cycle will perform. As of now, BG3 still retains its spot in Steam's top 5 most played game, with Starfield already slipping into the top 10. But, it's important to note that Starfield did launch day one on Gamepass for PC and console, which can be holding a lot of its concurrent player count.
Now we wait to see if Starfield falls behind Skyrim like every other recent Bethesda release, or will Starfield be able to chart its own course? Only time will tell.
That's our story for today. What's your thought on Starfield's current success? If you're playing the game, how's your experience so far? Let me know in the comments below. If you enjoyed this video, like it, subscribe to the channel, and ding the notification bell. We've also got other gameplay and game related videos up on the channel, be sure to check them out. Thanks for sticking around, and I hope you have a great one.
