Bro when the chorus hit my jaw dropped because I didn’t expect James AI to be able to hold the notes most AI’s start to bug out when they’re holding notes so to hear the “too far sound completely intact blew my mind! Man there aren’t words for how good this is I love it so much ❤ (easily earned a sub)

This man needs more subscribers, this shit is AMAZING, seriously. I've never heard a 1988 AI James sound SOO GOOD, and changing the solo to have the blackened solo intro was a really nice touch, amazing work man 👍

It sounds like a song that would be on the Garage Days EP.

Vocals AI are getting amazing. This one sounds just as if it was taken from the AJFA album

Only things I can put my finger on, is that the bas drum sounds too robotic in the double bass parts and that those harmonies in the bridge are too loud in the mix. The harmonies were usually not that in your face. You can clearly hear when that harmony track starts. Other than that, absolutely amazing!

Very impressive! In my opinion with these types of videos the voice can make or break the song, but you made it so good! Also, my only nitpick is that harmonic guitar towards the end comes in a bit loud, like it’s louder than the rest of the mix.

The double kick in the chorus is just like AJFA era Metallica

Its sounds Great!!! But in my humble opinion too far gone would be greater using RTL tone. Just for the song itself. Structure, riffs, writing. I can't stop thinking about that.
Shadows follow could be an AJFA song

These kind of things are proof that Metallica always keep their writing style and riffing. Fans have opinions on James voice and guitar tone, not songs.

I bet you can't make The Outlaw Torn on AJFA work. Yes that's a challenge.

Overall good job, I wanna say first that I love how much you clearly love the song! You nailed most of what it would have likely sounded like if Metallica wrote it at this time period!

A few small critiques, just for the heck of it. The guitar parts underlying the harmony part in the middle section before the solo are not correct. I have pretty good relative pitch, but not perfect, so I can't tell exactly what is off there, but I hear some very mild dissonance in there which isn't in the og.

One other smaller critique would be that the "wall of guitars" is typically a little more ethereal as far as the sound scape. A lot of the guitar tracks felt like they were kind of fighting each other at times in the mix, especially on the instrumental areas of the tune. Some automation and leveling could easily remedy this, you're already sniffing really really close to where you should be tbh, just some tweaks on the guitars.

Great work otherwise, seriously nailed the hetfield AI and the restructure into AJFA style! You really got the tone totally down! You know your shit my friend, serious kudos to you.
