Very nearly really did have some sailing this month - but got cancelled at the last moment. So maybe the new channel name is accurate after all.

A very clever gadget. New to me.
I like "Just Not About Sailing", but then I am also partial to the original.
All the best!

Sea feather seems to have gone, oars for the tender must be somewhere, mooring thingy doesn’t work with the rope loop hanging off the ball but that is a nice one.Great to see the boat in the Vid

Very nearly about sailing! - it was just about boats - loved it! Actually a great new title IMO.. & loved the Vis EFX.. You certainly have that cracked... I don't have a dinghy at the moment but have got a 12volt inflator off the last boat and it makes blowing the thing up on the narrow fore deck space a lot easier ... and less puff!!! Thanks for demonstrating the buoy pick up - I'm in the market for one but not 100% certain about yours - looks a bit flimsy?

That dinghy looks fantastic. Do you have an outboard for it -or is that the subject of a future video?

We have found that most transient moorings in the USA have a pendant already installed and ready to go which only requires a basic boathook to grab and bring aboard. Perhaps this is different in the UK? Long-term moorings usually do not come so equipped and require the leasee to supply their own single or double bridle.

Grabbing the bare mooring that first time is the problem where one of these fancy gizmos comes in handy. After this first time one can grab one of the installed bridle pendants with a boathook or tie an easy to grab taller mast buoy to the bridle which can be easily reached from the bow without a hook.

When we had an inflatable dinghy we used our small AC wet-vac in "blow" mode to inflate it. Our inverter is sized to run the vacuum and it only took a few seconds to blow up each section -literally 3-4 seconds and it was full. We kept the foot pump solely as a backup but never used it. If you intend to carry a mini wet-vac aboard it might be a good idea to choose one that is reversible so that it can be configured to blow as well as suck.

The blowing feature is also handy to clear the deck of debris like leaves and flying seeds as well as the inevitable mayfly infestation that can be a pain to clear any other way since they can plug the scuppers if a washdown hose is used.

Shouldn’t the ends of the dinghy case be fastened first? That would not only look better but also give access to the pocket that Lucy had found.

Where on earth do you store the dinghy on a boat the size of Serenity? I have an old Avon Redcrest, which is very light and compact to store, but is nightmare with an outboard on if only 1 person in it….
