I used my free night at the St. Regis Maldives. I gave the front desk the photo of Daddy Sebby that I keep in my wallet, instantly upgraded to their most expensive suite. They showered me with women and Fresca (which I thought was odd). They wanted to rename the resort after me, which I politely declined.

We just returned from Maui at the Waldorf Astoria Grand Wailea. We each used one free night certificate which gave us a value of $1265.74 per night on a room with a complimentary upgrade (incl taxes and resort fees) plus $50.00 per night food & beverage credit ($25.00 X 2) plus $200.00 AMEX semi-annual credit for our $550.00 AMEX Hiltons Aspire credit card annual fee. I like those numbers.

What’s ironic with all the chains is, the cheaper the hotel the more likely you are to get free breakfast. Think about Hampton, Hyatt place. Holiday inn express. All of those provide free breakfast without any status. IMO sometimes cards like CSR or Amex plat that are brand agnostic work better than hotel cards because you can pick the best hotel depending on availability and amenities rather than forcing you to stick with one brand

🗼 I’m leaning Hilton. I just feel like you get more out of it. Priority pass sounds nice, I just don’t know enough about it. Maybe you can make a whole video explaining Priority Pass. I looked it up, but I always understand things better when someone with experience explains it more in depth and from a perspective. Lastly, great video! Thank you for the content!

🗼 my wife and I used the Hilton Honors welcome bonus for one night at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at, and very memorable. Now we have the Marriott Bonvoy $95 annual fee card. We use the free night every year and definitely worth it. I’ve been considering the Hilton Aspire for a while but haven’t yet pulled the trigger.

4:50 I love how the hotel is disclosing the number of members for the night! U.S. hotels should do the same 😊

🗼 hotel cards are a lukewarm take-it-or-leave-it proposition for me

Tokyo Conrad and Intercontinental (Tokyo Bay because of access to public transportation, but other Intercontinental hotels in Tokyo are great too)🗼🗼🗼

I live in the middle of the US away from most of the large cities... Incomes are low (like $20-$40k is pretty "normal" here), "resorts" for the resort credits are no where near, very few options on dining credits, and a $200/night cash price on a hotel is considered by most to be prohibitively expensive for even a once per year occasion. I feel like you live in a different country than me.

Thanks. I just got gold with Hitlon and Marriott thanks to your card recommendations. Off to the Conrad Washington DC to celebrate our anniversary this weekend!

Loving the videos. Really informative! I really wish you’d reduce the amount of stick footage you use, but it’s otherwise great content.

🗼 We stayed at the Ritz Carlton Santa Barbara on the spur of the moment with our 85K free night certificate. It’s a lovely resort and a short drive from home.

I love lounge access when available. But it’s rather hit and miss. I stay almost exclusively at Marriott properties.

I'm a sucker for IHG intercontinental in Asian countries. Love IHG chase card.

🗼 1) Conrad Bora Bora Bui
2) Free breakfast. I'm so lazy in the mornings to go somewhere to eat, so the free breakfast is a win for me every time
3) Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island

🗼Thank you for this info. I got the Bonvoy Brilliant this year. Just the dining credits and the global entry re-imbursement really made the annual fee less scary. Question I have is the breakfast at the restaurant and the lounge. How many people are allowed in with 1 card?

Man, my most memorable stay has to be at the Park Hyatt Kyoto. Spent two nights there early this month. I just want to go back there so bad.

🗼 1/2 Was at Hilton Manila this past week. The lounge was a great getaway from the kids and extended family.

3 The wife and I are planning to get the amex mb Brilliant and stay 2 nights each at the 10 Marriott properties in the Philippines thus winter.
