MY portfolio has good companies, however they have been red all this year. This is my first year of investing and have been down 35% in the January sell off, and now down 17% in this sell off. 5:00 The money that I deposit in the bank is my asset but the bank's liability because the bank has to return it to me. The loan I take from the bank is my liability but the bank's asset because it is their own money that they will get back. I may be wrong also, please correct.

@akshat I have a doubt. If I am right, asianpaints manufactures paint with oil products. And currently the oil prices are in a rise and are expected to grow due to the tensions in Rus vs Ukr war and all the sanctions that are made against Russia(as russia is a prominent exporter of natural gas and oil). How can you say that asian paints will be a hedge? Please do correct me if I am wrong.
