If you are trying to beat level 5 on Youtube, the physics are slightly different so it is much harder, but it is still possible.
Instead of cutting the top left and top right ropes at the same time, cut the top left rope about a quarter of a second earlier than the top right rope, so the candy floats slightly to the right, and then pop the bubble at the last moment before it hits the spikes.
