You can do the perfect villain chair turn

with the racing gear upgrades I feel like it will nearly replicate the feeling of turning, which is such a massive win for the sim racing community

I'm a former medical massage therapist, and have to constantly educate people about making sure to face their whole chair toward what they're working on, rather than always just turning their head slightly when using their other monitor or whatever. Even slight amounts of asymmetry, practiced habitually, lead to all sorts of problems, and I've helped a lot of people improve their neck issues by teaching them to be mindful of this. It may be overkill, but I like how this tech has potential ergonomic applications!

To save you the Google search, it costs around $1k. Without any upgrades. These vary between $122 and $244.

Zach is about to have the best VR lawn mowing and experience ever.

that seems like it could be great for accessibility.
eye/head tracking moving a chair seems just a great idea

This looks like genuinely the best vr accesory. Every other one looks gimmicky and not all too great. Could definitely see having this.

Edit: Yall needa Its not that deep. We're talking about video games. Some of y'all so heated you would think we're talking politics or about running over puppies or something.

this is amazing, i have a medical condition that makes it so i cant stand for too long without extreme pain so having a way to actually use my vr headset with alot more movement while sitting down is a game changer

Imma be honest I’ve never gotten motion sick from playing VR (even without vignette) but I’m glad that ppl are making stuff for the people who do.

This feels like more of an accessibility tool than a way to make you less dizzy. I can’t stand for any length of time due to my disability, so games requiring me to turn my head and body are inaccessible without this. I don’t want to play VR anyway, but some people do.

this stuff will seriously keep people from getting hurt while playing vr from moving around, good product 😂😂

I actually really like the idea of this. It's just a head tracking based game, but it gives you a sensible way to never have to turn using in-game controls, only your body.

The "I have to physically look behind me" is a massive improvement to immersion. And doing that while still being able to stay seated is great.

I have zero issues with motion sickness in VR, but I’m glad tech like this is being worked on for the sake of those who have issues with it. Not to mention those with accessibility problems who want to be able to freely turn without standing.

I could totally see this being used as an a VR game where you play as a gunner perfection

The racing rig was the first thing that popped into my head when I saw it moved! Whoever designed this chair is kind of genius

Im disabled and I've been really hoping for something like this! I can't stand for long periods of time, which doesnt work for certain VR titles.

The current price is definitely out of my reach. I hope that this leads to similar products (or open-source options) to be developed and improve affordability.

This seems awesome!! I love VR, but I have really weak legs that can’t stand still for a long time, so thing could really help people like me still enjoy VR
