Allie's Story: From Team Member to Patient

During the first procedure of a 7 am – 5:30 pm shift, Allison Hermann, CST, started having a gallbladder attack. She briefly talked to Jason Kennard, MD, about it, went down to the IU Health Bloomington Emergency Department and was admitted.

Later that day, Dr. Kennard saw her back in the OR, but she was the patient instead of his first assistant.
