a musical exploration of one of the oldest pieces of English lit has no right to be as GOOD as this is. Like every track is GOLD

The recurring theme in The Wife of Bath's Tale is incredible. Over time, it has become my favorite piece of this album. You've somehow captured triumph, joy, sorrow, pain, wonder, longing, and a sea of other feelings in a single simple melody. Thank you for this masterful treasure.

The fact, that i found something beautiful like this and i read the genres "Folk Ambient" and "Neoclassical" is wonderful to me. Thanks to the whole community, producers and DSA. I feel like I'm home and in peace.

Was listening to this while I read Chaucer this semester. Extremely helpful actually. Gorgeous tracks, too, I really fell in love with track 3. The weird octave shift isn't my favorite but I totally get it. Terrific stuff.

Whan that Aprill, with his shoures soote
The droghte of March hath perced to the roote
And bathed every veyne in swich licour,
Of which vertu engendred is the flour;
5 Whan Zephirus eek with his sweete breeth
Inspired hath in every holt and heeth
The tendre croppes, and the yonge sonne
Hath in the Ram his halfe cours yronne,
And smale foweles maken melodye,
10 That slepen al the nyght with open eye-
(So priketh hem Nature in hir corages);
Thanne longen folk to goon on pilgrimages
And palmeres for to seken straunge strondes
To ferne halwes, kowthe in sondry londes;
15 And specially from every shires ende
Of Engelond, to Caunterbury they wende,
The hooly blisful martir for to seke
That hem hath holpen, whan that they were seeke.

This is excellent! I'm currently listening to this while penning a stage adaptation of The Pardoner's Tale. Thanks for posting!

Summoner's Tale is so cool. I like that moog feel (squire wave?), which is rare among dungeon synth albums that shoot for ancient horn sounds. But any pilgrim knows, synthiness is next to godliness.
