It's a great day for freedom, the right of free association and free speech. American workers win big.

Praise God!!!! Unions started out as a good thing but like any other entity absolute power corrupts.

Massive loss for Democrats who fund their campaigns on graft from the unions.

What a great day! I can't stand the entitlement mentality of unions. Good for Mark!

Of course it should be for workers to decide what they want for themselves. But, that should include employment contract also. Union bargaining agreement should be applicable to Union members only.

If the unions are offering a good deal, then people will continue to be a part of them and will voluntaraly fund their activites through union dues. This amounts to the unions having to compete for workers memberships which is not entirely a bad thing. Forced payments simply to hold a job really speaks for itself.

I don’t disagree with Janus stance... however would he consider giving back the $17k worth of raises his specific union negotiated on his behalf? 🤔

It's sad that many have forgotten why unions were born. Sure, it's not perfect but I can remember when salaries shot up because of unions. Take, as an example, the salary of a Corrections Officer in the State of California!

I'm going to "represent" you... whether you want it or not... so PAY UP!

Awesome. I never consented to the unions taking my money out of my paycheck, yet they always had access to it and did. I wish they could pay me back what they stole.

I pay about $700/yr for my public sector union. How do I stop doing that now?

His lawyer looks like a sophisticated Ivan Drago.

This guy's stance is so popular he found 5 people to hold signs behind him. There are some misleading things Mr. Janus is implying the worst being that we pay union dues to get our job. I am a very moderate conservative who belongs to the same union as Mark here. Mark fails to tell you that his union has bargained him to a $71, 000 salary and great benefits. I do not view my dues as a political statement, but rather an insurance or reassurance that someone is looking out for me and my family's best interest as it pertains to my employer.
