My first grandmapocalypse took place when I was in, like, second grade. When I bought the upgrade and saw the Scary Grandma Face, I ran out of my room and couldn't touch my computer for three days out of sheer horror.

Needless to say, I stopped playing for a while

At first, you feel fear. Then you figure out wrinklers give back more cookies than they eat.

This scared the shit out of me when I first played. Then I realized I could just prestige, get a different background, and basically ignore it.

I was a kid playing this back in the day. I didn't understand english, i just played Cookie Clicker for fun. I got absolutely traumatized and stopped playing the game when i saw the background turn into cursed old women.

Man, i was very young when i did my first grandmapocalypse, and i got scared as heck with the icon, the bg and the wrinklers

When I first began playing Cookie Clicker I went through the settings and found a setting that said, "SCARY STUFF: ON", so I turned it off. Then after getting the option to purchase 'One Mind' upgrade I researched into the Grandmapocalyspe, and then I activated it. The only thing that changed for me was the fact that my grandmas all developed angry eyebrows, and when I got wrinklers, they all got (debatably) adorable googly eyes!

Now I just stay in the Awoken phase, and I plan on doing so for ages. It's the best of both worlds in a way. I get major bonuses from wrinkers. I get wrath cookies which I can use to make plants cheaper, and to get things such as elder frenzies. Golden cookies are still more common than wrath cookies, so I can still successfully run combos.
