Just wish this little thing wasn’t $200.

135$ for this skate level... I'm sorry but that's just way too expensive. The most I'd pay for an edge level is 50$ and even that's expensive...

Whats the relation of adjustment from the edge checker to the alignment knob on the Sparx machine it self? For example: if your high one bar on the left of the edge checker, turn two clicks counter-clock wise on the sparx level adjustment knob.

I'm seeing on the Sparx website that if your skates have a black or chrome coating that this can make it difficult to get an accurate reading with the edge checker. My son has Bauer Supreme 2S skates with LS3+ steel (which has the black coating). Does this mean I will not get a good reading with the edge checker? Any advice on how to make sure I am getting an accurate reading?

For $150? I was going to get a sparx sharpener but this is ridiculous for a simple tool.
