Narrow & Closed Angle Glaucoma

Показать описание
Glaucoma is an incredibly complex group of diseases in which damage to the optic nerve inside the eye leads to progressive, irreversible vision loss.

One type of glaucoma is called Narrow Angle Glaucoma. Fluid drains out of the eye through the Anterior Chamber Angle. In Narrow Angle Glaucoma, the Anterior Chamber Angle becomes too narrow for fluid to drain properly. This can develop quickly or slowly and is most common in people that are farsighted.

Your risk for Narrow Angle and Angle Closure Glaucoma can only be detected through routine eye health examinations. Thankfully, your optometrist will be able to see if you are at risk for either of these conditions and start the necessary treatment to prevent their development.
