I am doing a project on her in school, and it really makes me admire, love and empathize with her so much. She was in and out of foster homes from 8 years old, and suffered with pretty bad bipolar disorder and OCD (she also had a family history of mental illnesses, like her mother, Gladys Pearl Baker, who was admitted to a psychiatric hospital when Marilyn Monroe was eight years old).
She had such a difficult and tough life, and I really, really hope that she knew how loved she was. And how, to this day, she is just as famous, iconic and historic as when she was in “her prime”
