Part 2 on using the Step Sequencer on the Casio XW-P1 and XW-G1. This tutorial continues where part 1 left off and shows how to use the sliders to manipulate parts, record bass and chordal parts live from the keyboard and more.

We just created one pattern. You can make up to 8 patterns in one Step Sequence. There is also a CHAIN feature that will allow you to determine the order of patterns the number of times each plays, their key and more.

From the Step Sequencer Mode, press EDIT. Choose Track Parameter and set the note value to 1/4 notes instead of 16th.

Single notes on the drum, bass, solo1 and solo2 tracks. 3 note chords are possible on the CHORD track.

This was covered in the first video. If you put the Step Sequencer into Step Edit mode, the keyboard is live for recording that part. For more help go to CasioMusicForums

The instructions on the manual of this item are THE MOST' COMPLICATED and CONFUSING thing you'l ever read i wonder who made this book???  casio just consider making more tutorials on the (casio xw g1/p1 trust me we will greatly appreciate it.   :/

thx, I know.. I can play live from keyboard the part, the notes and rhytm.. but Mike is playing chords ( from 5:10 to 5:30) and I can not.. what I am doing wrong?

I've had this board for 4 days now. I'm reading comments every where about the manual being almost pointless. I made the mistake of calling "tech support" today... pretty sure it was Blanche from Golden Girls on the other end of the phone. Didn't have a clue. Casio, nobody will buy your stuff if you don't make it easy and intuitive to use. If you're gonna cut very corner and hire anybody off the street to work in tech support then you should at least offer step by step video tutorials.
