We have been to a Chongqing hospital in 2003 when our daughter had flu. For people with money you can usually pay for faster treatment but the halls were lined with patients sitting with IV antibiotics attached to forehead. So now almost 20 years later I would guess the hospitals there are actually pretty good. Any country would be overwhelmed by something like this, so dont think it wont happen at our hospitals even in the US too. Death rate of even 1% would mean 1000 times as many deaths as the flu if this becomes widespread and endemic worldwide like flu is. Just pray it either mutates to become less deadly or they get a vaccine within a year as hoped to save people in future years. Luckily this at least seems far less deadly than smallpox which was horrific for the world. Pray they never let that escape the lab.

Yeah...very difficult to catch every person, as the title says, so let's NOT do the very best we can, eh? Serious question.... which is NOT getting enough press coverage. Expats returning to their home countries. What is being done?. Seemingly very different things. UK is quarantining for 2 weeks, the long-estimate range of the infectuous incubation period (estimated at 2-14 days). USA and Japan are not...making quarantine voluntary (USA) and only for 3 days. Why not take the most conservative approach and where is WHO in all this....who can help mandate a common and safe response? Idiots all.
