3200FPS?! Nikon 1 Series J1 Slow Motion Hints and Review

The new Nikon 1 series has the distinction of being the only camera in its price range that can shoot 400FPS at 640x240. Now that doesn't sound like much resolution, but for web delivery - it can be usable.

The way the camera comes stock, you wouldn't want to use the high fps mode, the sharpening makes the image look like it came out of a barbie cam. Aliasing and Moire are present as well -but there's a cure. Take advice from other video shooting large sensor consumer cams, and lower the sharpening. It not only reduces the sharpening artifacts, it also lessens other artifacts as well. No its not perfect, I wouldn't even say that its pretty, but its the only option for $599.

Nikon should rename the camera to the Nikon R2D2 model. Love the little pop flash reminds me of R2D2 radar antenna.

to use 1200fps you'll need tonns of light *daytime outside* and set it to ISO sensitivity to 100 and you get a much clearer picture on the vid

hello mate ...i have just brought this camera about 2 days ago and i dont know any thing about slow motion option ... i know how to make it but its like 1 second...i was wondering is there any way that i can increase that time on slow motion mode ??? thanks

@eyepatchentertainmen I would talk to google and ask them to buy you cameras and lenses to review. Explain to them it would bring it more traffic to your channel.
