Instruction Video - How to install a Highline window control system to a top-hung window or vent
Показать описание
This step-by-step video guide explains how to correctly install a Highline teleflex-style opener system to a top-hung window vent. This window control system makes it easy to open and close windows which might otherwise be too high up or hard to reach.
1. Measure the width of the frame and mark the centre
2. Mount the end of the chain bracket to the centre of the frame
3. Choose the correct fixing bracket and mount the cog base to the outer frame
5. Fix Midi frame back plate to frame or wall
6. Bend conduit using bending tool
7. Remove 20mm of outer conduit using a blade knife
8. Drill out 20mm of inner conduit liner
9. Form a groove in the conduit using the conduit tool
10. Remove midi gearbox and place conduit into the slots shown in the operator and chain opener
11. Fix the conduit saddle to hold conduit in place
12. Wind the cable through operator gearbox. You’ll need to wind enough cable to give the required opening stroke i.e., 250mm or 350mm
13. Thread the brass stop onto the end of the cable nearest the gearbox. Then use a hammer and centre punch to clamp the brass stop to the cable
14. Fix the remaining conduit to the cog base to cover the end of the cable run
15. Use the remaining saddle piece to securely hold the conduit in place and use the conduit end plug to finish the conduit run
16. Use square conduit to cover the cable inside the operator
17. Mount the operator cover and securely fix with the collar
18. Mount the chain opener to the cog base
19. Fix the chain to the end of the chain bracket
20. Fit the locking pin to the top of the chain opener cog
21. Fix the operator handle using a grub screw
22. The system is now complete.
