For all those who were, & are, interested in our music, THANK YOU. I ‘carry on’, not just for Susan who died before her time, but Also for my father, Alan Williams, who was a Wonderful musician who also died at a relatively young age. Dad didn’t get the chance to become professional because of working in a car factory when he came out of the RAF after World War Two. So thank you, all of you. Kay x.

I hope that if Susan's family and friends read the comments - they take comfort in the fact that her music gave so much pleasure to so many. What a great legacy. Rest in peace, Susan.

I knew sue in the eighties when Franchesca was at the same nursery as my son Rory.We soon became friends. We lost contact when her and Nick moved to Switzerland. I was shocked and saddened to hear of her tragic passing. Her husband Nick was a lovely guy with an impressive library 😂 A tragic loss of a wonderful musician and person.

Will never understand why this was not a monumental hit. Perfect pop song, still sounds fresh today, over 40 yrs later.

I discovered this song on the radio just before Christmas 2023 and it’s fantastic! 1981 I was aged 8 and TOTP was the no1 chart music rundown and seeing this video made me all nostalgic, warm and fuzzy. Love ❤️

It is always so sad to learn of anyone who has taken their own life for whatever reason, to be that desperate that to end it all seems to be the only rational thing to do. And yet if they had seeked and found help they might be with us today. An obvious talent and to die so young, her legacy will live on and entertain many generations to come. I hope you found the peace you were looking for Susan, enjoy the great gig in the sky.

Her sound is as fresh today as it was 40 years ago . A song like this never ages . I thought at the time we would hear a great deal more from Susan Fassbender but it was not to be . So sad to hear of her untimely death .

Never heard of this until today...neither the song nor the artist. I'm 65 yrs old and surely would've dug hearing this as a 23 yr old in 1981 growing up in Houston. Just got done listening to The Passions for the first time ("In Love w/ a German Film Star")...so many long forgotten songs from the early 80's when music was undergoing a revolution from pure punk to new wave/power pop...sorry I didn't hear these then, but nevertheless they found me now, thank God.

I love how ordinary-looking and ordinary-acting she was. She was so relatable, like someone you know.
