SINGLE SERVE LEMON CAKE 🍋

Let’s have a little Kaffe und Kuchen time together!🫶
RECIPE CAKE:
-22g flour
-1-4 Tsp baking powder
-10g sugar
-20ml plant milk
-1 Tsp olive oil
-1 Tsp lemon juice
Mix and bake at 180C for 15-20mins.
Glaze:
-15g powdered sugar
-5g lemon juice
Poke in holes in the cake and add the glaze.
Frappé:
-2 Tsp instant coffee
-3 Tsp hazelnut syrup
-30ml water
Froth it up or shake until frothy in a bottle.
-1 cup ice
-1/2 cup (120ml) (hazelnut) milk

REZEPT KUCHEN:
-22g Mehl
-1-4 TL Backpulver
-10g Zucker
-20 ml Pflanzenmilch
-1 TL Olivenöl
-1 TL Zitronensaft
Mischen und bei 180 °C 15–20 Minuten backen.
Glasur:
-15g Puderzucker
-5g Zitronensaft
Löcher in den Kuchen stechen und die Glasur darauf verteilen.
Frappé:
-2 TL Instantkaffee
-3 TL Haselnusssirup
-30 ml Wasser
Aufschäumen
-1 Tasse Eiswürfel
-1/2 Tasse (120 ml) (Haselnuss-)Milch

In India, we have chai and biscuits and/or namkeen (salty, crispy snacks).. and when it’s raining outside it’s chai and pakora, Indians love tea time.

In Finland we have coffee break similar to "fika" in sweden. Its even part of our work contracts that we get a break for coffee.

We have "Kaffe og Kage" as well, it's pretty much mandatory whenever you have guests as well, no matter who it is and how often someone visits, haha..
Depending on the time, we'll have rugbrød, rundstykker or knækbrød with it as well. 😉

If you like the hazlenut frappe i highly highly recommended making one with plain coffee and blueberry milk (plant milk + blueberry syrup/compote). Pairs SO well with lemon. Would be perfect for this little recipe :)

We have it in Norway as well: kaffe og kake, but it may be more of the grandparent generation than the current one, when coffee and cake was served in the middle of the afternoon, between dinner (at noon) and evening meal.

Yep. In Sweden we call it Fika. It doesn’t have to have cookies but it’s usually implied if you do it. It’s at 15:00.

Yasss, here in Argentina we have that as well, we call it “merienda”, and you could say we consider it as an actual meal. It’s smaller than lunch and dinner though 😅

i just made it and its awesome! I was too lazy to use my oven lol so i microwaved it for about 45 seconds - 1 minute and it turned out nice and fluffy
