10 Players RUINED By Injury!

On today’s video we count down 10 players whose careers have been seriously rocked by injury in recent years. From France pair N’Golo Kanté and Paul Pogba, whose years at Man United and Juventus have been wasted by persistent fitness problems, to Joe Gomez and Tariq Lamptey, who have become far less trusted at Liverpool and Brighton since returning from long spells out, there are plenty of top professionals who would have had a much bigger impact on the game had they not been on the treatment table so much.

We also take a look at former Napoli star Faouzi Ghoulam, who helped pave the way for Victor Osimhen and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia’s success in Serie A; Ansu Fati, who can’t buy a start at Barcelona right now; and Neymar, who has been absent for large parts of his PSG career. But who else makes the list? Watch on to find out!

I really do hope fati stays healthy. He's a hell of a player and I hope his barcelona career is a long and successful one. He was one of the few bright spots we've had recently

Imagine if R9 didn’t have his injuries…he’s still regarded as arguably the best #9 of all time anyway!

Emile Smith-Rowe was a miss for this list. Arsenals top scorer last year has hardly played this season at the age of 21.

Ghoulam was a beast before the injury he always reminded me of prime maicon

Hard to have this list without Maro Reus, Holger Badstuber and Santi Cazorla.

When Arsenal had almost won the Premier League back in 2008, they had one promising stars from Croatia (Eduardo) who partnered an attacking outfit with Adebayor, resulting in a good performance for the whole club until the game vs Birmingham City. This turned out to be the downfall, as he had a severe broken leg and missed out the rest of the season. He was not even the same one after making his return with Arsenal.

Yeah, it's nice to see no Arsenal players on this list for once. The only player currently in the squad who has had injury problems is Kieran Tierney. We've had SO MANY injuries in the past it has been ridiculous - Oxlade-Chamberlain, Walcott, Ramsey, Diaby, Cazorla, Eduardo, van Persie, Bellerin, Vermaelen, Koscielny's last two years at Arsenal... that whole generation of players were good enough to win the League but just couldn't keep the injuries away.

Crazy how probably the only 2 players in history who could have reached messi and ronaldo maybe even surpassed them if it werent for injury aren't even mentioned in R9 and Marco Van Basten

Fati situation is sad, such a talent. Hopefully he can make a comeback no matter how long it takes

As a Barça fan I'll always want Fati to succeed, but his current form issues make me appreciate Dembele a bit more. Gets injured all the time, gets ridiculed, but every time he returns he plays the same/better than he did before his injury. Hopefully Fati can regain confidence and play without fear

I feel like Kanté, Lucas Hernandez and Neymar are a it different to the rest.

They have all already achieved great success for France, Chelsea or Barca and all 3 of them are still considered worldclass, when they actually play.

I feel like at least those three, haven’t really declined, just not been available a lot!

Fati is only 20 years old. There's still time for him to make a comeback.

Calvert Lewin went downhill fast after he dressed as a schoolgirl.

Hope dembele is giving fati advice to get through this shit. The way dembele has come back again and again from injury stronger than before has been nothing short of incredible.

You could almost make an XI of just Liverpool players: Keita, Ox, Gomez, Matip, Thiago, Diaz...

Feel that Ndidi Tierney need to be on a part 2

You could make the strong argument that Aaron Ramsey belongs on this list, considering that he missed nearly a whole calendar year after the Shawcross horror tackle that snapped his leg, and the fact that he's been a shadow of himself since his final Achilles injury at Arsenal. Even when he caught a massive break (Juve offering those obscene wages), he couldn't catch a break (never achieving both fitness and form at the same time).

Mentioning Neymar's injury list but not even brushing over his timely early March "freak" injuries is wild.
