Climbing to the Gramvousa fortress
Показать описание
The island of Imeri Gramvousa is located 20 km northwest of Kissamos harbor in the Greek island of Crete. We visited it leaving by boat from the port of Kissamos, with a stopover at the famous Balos lagoon.
Imeri Gramvousa is famous for the Venetian fortress located at 137 m at its top. The fortress was also used by Greek insurgents during the war of independence (between 1821-1829).
You can see the climb on the stone steps (with some dangerous areas) to the fortress.
The view from above is wonderful. You can also see the famous Balos lagoon.
