Hatsune Miku's Wonderland X Showtime version is based off of the strange world of the Wonderland Sekai. The Sekai based around the story characters Tsukasa, and his little sister Saki. This in depth lore short showcases the popular world of Wonderlands X Showtime! And Highlights more in the world of Hatsune Miku Project Sekai!

Most of the story is provided from story events and character lore given in Colorful stage!

Fun fact: Back when Tsukasa was a child, he would always make stories for Saki with the rabbit/bunny plushie as the main character to make her smile!! As soon as he gets back home, he instantly thinks of a new part or sequel for Saki

The fact that Tsukasa's fragment sekai is directly ripped from a forgotten storybook makes me curious as to whether the rest of wonderland sekai is also based off of forgotten stories. Perhaps the ones he made for Saki

I'm not big on amusement parks (too scared of heights for rollar coasters, ferris-wheels, or those rides that swing or lift you, and so on), but I love the aesthetic of the place. I wish more unapologetically cutesy places existed for adults, or at least not only made for children.

The fact that virtual singer WL confirmed that Tsukasa had this sekai even since he was a child is amazing to me. Like even at that point in his life his "inner world" you could say was already that big.

I really want to visit the Wonderland Sekai. It seems like it'd be so fun and enjoyable during the day but when night comes around you can take in the view and relax. Seriously the most beautiful sekai in my opinion.

i totally agree with you about the fantasy styled silent hill vibes! its all very cute and the vocaloids are really sweet, but it cant help but unnerve me a bit when i think about it. i think its a combo of what you mentioned and a few other things, like how the only other character in this position is mafuyu, but tsukasas mental state isnt constantly under the microscope like she is, or how her sekai is really easy to read into her feelings but it can be more difficult with tsukasa. theres also the fact that rui is the only character who really wants to understand exactly how sekais work, and tries to pick it apart in the main story. add in tsukasas memory issues and how circus imagery nearly always has negetive connotations nowadays to westerners (which i am), and wonderland sekai gets this subtle creepy vibe when you think about it which i dont think is really intentional, esp as its just really cute when playing the game
