Duet Display vs Spacedesk performance and experience

I am personally using Space desk for Art and sketch work, i can confirm on Samsung Tab series it has pressure sensitivity and even double finger zoom function, other navigation needs a mouse or hot key customization.
As a tip, i can suggest connecting your android device to your computer,
Establishing a USB tethering function from your phone,
and then connecting to the Virtual screen there through your Phone's USB hotlink

It may temporarily interrupt your previous network connection but you can always restart it with no problem, since it is over USB hotspot tethering it is lag free and responds quite well.

Nice. What about spacedesk and twomon SE? It's a little cheaper than Duet Display.

I would’ve went for duet no questions asked but since they don’t really have a one time purchase option anymore (it’s 200$) and costs 4$ a month now I don’t really think duet is going to be an option for me rn

You are not reading the network usage correctly. Your Duet had a Y-axis of 100Mbps and Spacedesk had 10Mbps, so Spacedesk is probably an order of magnitude less network i/o. That vertical graph dynamically changes, which makes it kind of useless. If you scroll to the right on your network tab you'll actually see the real usage.

I'd like to add sth here... I was looking for best apps for the purpose and I figured out that u can use space desk via wired mode.... Since the requirement is for both devices to be on same ip I connected my phone to my laptop and tethered my data... And used space desk and you can use like that without lag

I'm on Duet Display (same iPad), and it usually works kind of OK... but sometimes the lag gets bad if I'm on a Zoom call or something. How did you set the thread priority?

So technically, you could use Duet Display to use your tablet as a monitor for gaming? The input lag isn't atrocious enough to impair the gaming experience?
