I like the idea of a container for that stuff, but it looks like it can only hold like 128 blocks. Thats not a lot.
The obvious question here of course is: Will it be upgradable?

Dire, maybe you can make some kind of simplified "Equivalent Exchange" thing, so you take some stacks of dirt & cobble & whatever blocks & items and throws them into a "paste-ifyer" & it gives you some amount of construction paste?

I think a third gadget could be useful, The Structure Gadget. Basically it would look at what mods you have installed and then let you select from each mods multiblock structures. With the focus of this video you wouldn't be able to use construction paste with the Structure Gadget. You would still need all the correct blocks to make the multiblock.
Also would be kind of neat for the mods that need some sort of action to form the multiblock (such as clicking with the hammer in Immersive Engineering) if the Structure Gadget automatically applied that action after the blocks are placed.

Can I say, after years of watching you (and especially ComputerCraft), I love that you took the step to make a really useful, yet simple mod? Keep it up!

Another idea, because I tend to use the build to me to make bridges while I am out and exploring, you could make a super cheap version of the powder that will vanishes after 30 seconds or something, fast easy bridge you don't have to worry about cleaning up.

My immediate thought is duplicating block hardness to the paste block. Basically, the following scenario:

Soaryn: OH NO A WITHER HAS GOTTEN LOOSE! HOW SHALL I SAVE MY BASE?
*dramatic music*
*Dw20 enters from off screen*
*Places down a wither proof block*
*copies that block*
*tosses paste container and building gadget to Soaryn*
DW20: Here you go! This shall save your base!
*Rapid clicks later*
Soaryn: YAY! Thanks Dire's Building Gadgets!

Not sure if thats currently how things are set up and I'm honestly not sure if its a bad thing. Feel free to use that skit btw.
