I would suggest you review this car again on the open roads of Scotland but in an urban setting where I'd be interested to see how much its very large size proves to be a handicap.

Nicely done, Tish! Looks like a real winner to me for the families or companies that need such a big hauler.

Those swiveling second row seats make for a good place to take on/off your ski/snowboard boots in the resort parking lot.

love the design, need the space for the family, range is comforting but i can do without all the bells and whistles. I hope this push other car makers to bring on more 7 seaters at a more affordable price. Will definitely look into it a few years later if i need a 2nd car.

The gear selector stick makes a lot of sense. It's easy to use, your kids & pets cannot accidently make any unwated change, besides, it resembles the old US cars while providing more space in in the middle.

There seem SO few electric cars with 7 seats, and guess the price tag matches that scarcity.
Just need a family runaround like the VW Touran or Ford S-Max... with 2 seats in the very back to ferry kids around.
But still they keep coming with things that look more in place on motorcades for Minor Royals...

Having driven HGVs with the gear switch on the column it’s much better and more efficient than a switch in the centre. In the car I sometimes have to look at the dial to see which way to turn it but on the column it’s forward for to go forward and back to go back. 👍🤠

I’m a fan of boxy design as it offers more interior space and practicality. Had a Honda Element back in the day and loved it for that very reason. Even with this shape the EV9 still is as aerodynamic as the EV6 which we currently own and love. We’re thinking of trading it in for the EV9 as I’m 6’2 and like the idea of more space, especially for road trips. Great review and love the scenery there in Scotland!

So funny. American YT videos talk about this as a mid-sized SUV. European or UK-based channels talk about it as a "massive" or "huge" car. this shows how relative this is to the car culture.

Great effort from Kia, if pricey! Hopefully this’ll kick-start better 7-seat options for 2024-25.

Curious to see what Ford, for example, do with the new Galaxy (my current diesel drive) 🤞🏻
